Before enrolling in the program that’s right for you, you may have a few questions about how Ashworth College works, how tuition works for online courses, and even how taking an online course can make a difference in your career. Here are your most frequently asked questions, answered!

How do I pay Ashworth College tuition?

Furthering your education can be expensive – but it doesn’t have to be! We’re dedicated to making sure that earning a high school diploma, preparing for a career through online training, and earning a college degree is affordable for everyone. That’s why we have a few different ways you can pay your low-cost Ashworth tuition.

  1. Pay in full. If it works with your budget and finances, paying your program tuition in full can be the best way to go! By paying in full, not only do you not have to worry or stress about monthly payments and tuition due dates - you’ll also save money. Most of our programs offer a full payment option that saves you a little bit off the total tuition.
  2. Make automatic monthly payments. Not everyone wants to, or even can, pay their tuition in full and that’s totally understandable. If paying in full isn’t the best fit for you, we offer low monthly payment plans with no interest so you can learn and build new skills without stressing too much about how reaching your goals will impact your budget.
  3. Make monthly payments by mail. If you’re not comfortable with automatic payments, you can also mail in or call in your payments by the due date each month.

What if I can’t make a payment towards tuition or miss a payment?

Life happens, we get it, and we’re here to help. If you think you can’t make a payment toward your tuition by the due date, call our student services department to let them know. They can often find a solution that works for you! You can reach them Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM EST at 1-800-224-7234.

If you miss a payment for any reason, don’t panic! Just make sure to let us know when you can make that payment and get caught up as soon as possible.

How much do Ashworth programs cost?

The cost of Ashworth programs can vary based on what program it is, whether it’s a diploma or degree, and other factors. Program cost could potentially range from $400 for a certificate course to around $10,000 or more for a bachelor’s degree. However, you’re not expected to pay that all at once in most cases, and you can take advantage of the monthly payment plan options to cover the cost. Most programs have low monthly payment plan options – and everything you need to study is included in your tuition through online study guides and digital textbooks, so you won’t have to save up for costly physical textbooks.

You can also get an idea of what monthly payment amount works best for you and how long it’ll take you to pay off your tuition by using our tuition calculator. Just select the program you’re interested in from the drop-down box, then use the sliding scales to select what you’d like to pay for a down payment and how much you’d want to pay for your monthly payments. You’ll then be given an estimate of how long it’d take to pay off your full program tuition.

Am I able to control my own schedule in online school?

Yes! With Ashworth’s flexible online programs, you decide when and where to study. You also decide the pace for your studies, so if you have a lot of free time and want to study every day, you can. You can also only study an hour a week, if that’s all the time you have. It really is up to you, your schedule, and how you learn best.

While you can determine your own schedule, it’s important to remember to actually make a schedule! Having a study schedule can help you stay on track and reach your goals on a timeline that works for you. So whether you’re studying an hour once a week or five hours every day, make sure you put that in your planner or on your calendar as a reminder of what you need to get done. Following a study schedule can also help you build great time management habits and make sure you have the time you need to take care of everything else you’ve got going on, from hanging out with friends to taking care of your family.

What resources are available to online students?

Online school is independent, but that doesn’t mean you’re alone! When you’re taking an Ashworth program, you’ll have access to a variety of resources to help you with your courses, keep you motivated, and allow you to connect with Ashworth staff, instructors, students, and alumni. Some of these resources include

1. Our expert faculty

Have a question about something you read in your study guide or textbook? Need help understanding a grade you received for a test or paper? You’ve got expert instructors who can give you a hand! Instructors are available Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM EST for assistance, though it’s important to note that there may be a long wait time as instructors help thousands of students. For faster help, submit a ticket through the support tab in your Student Portal or email your instructor (you can find contact information for specific instructors in your program syllabus) with questions. Remember, your instructors are available Monday through Friday so if you submit a ticket or send an email on the weekend, you’re not going to get a response right away.

2. Our dedicated student services

If you need help with tuition payments, are having an issue with your Student Portal, or just aren’t sure about something, our dedicated student services team is here to help! They’re available Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM EST and love helping students. You can reach them at 1-800-224-7234.

3. Our Student Community

Want to know how other students have completed their courses or what worked best for them when it comes to taking an online program? Or just want to make friends with people who are taking the same program? That’s where our Student Community comes in! Enrolled students can sign up and participate in conversations via discussion boards and posts from other students and our Community Manager, Shawn!

4. The LRC Library

Through the digital library, you can access a ton of materials, from journals and publications to eBooks, that can be helpful in your research when you’re writing a paper or working on a project. You have access 24/7 so you can work on your assignments and do research whenever you need to.

5. The Writing Lab

Writing can be tough and frustrating, especially if you’ve been out of school for a bit before you enrolled in your Ashworth program. But with the online writing lab, you can feel a little more confident! You’ll have access to citation guides, writing style guides, information about plagiarism, and more.
