Whether you want to learn new skills, earn a degree, or just add a certificate to your resume, going back to school at any age can come with some uncertainty. How do you know what you’re learning is what you need to know? Before enrolling in an Ashworth College program, here’s how to find out more information about the classes you’ll take and what you’ll learn in each one.

How to find curriculum information for online classes

If you’re interested in a particular career, such as becoming a veterinary technician, or want to earn a business degree, it’s important to make sure the classes you take can help you reach your goals. The best way to understand if you’ll be taking the right classes is to carefully review the curriculum information page for every diploma or degree you might want to enroll in.

To find the full curriculum details for a program you’re interested in, you’ll need to click on the “Curriculum” tab on the left side of the informational program page you’re on. Once you’re taken to the curriculum page, you’ll see a summary of the objectives for the program, as well as a breakdown of each class you’ll need to take.

For college programs, classes are broken down by semester, so you know what to expect in each one.

What you should know about the curriculum before enrolling

Before enrolling in a program, make sure you review what you’ll learn in each of your classes. On the curriculum page of the program you’re interested in taking, you can click on the arrow next to each class to find out more about what you’ll learn. You’ll be able to read a summary of the particular class, as well as what students are expected to have learned by the time they finish it. This includes specific skills you should take away from the class as well as different problem-solving skills, theories, and more.

Through reviewing what you’re supposed to get out of each course, you’ll be better able to decide if that particular program can help you reach your goals.

Questions you should ask before enrolling in an online course
