Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society
Ashworth College graduates achieving cumulative a minimum grade point average of 3.50 are eligible for induction into the International honor society Delta Epsilon Tau. Established by The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), Delta Epsilon Tau recognizes the achievements of individuals who've excelled academically while students of an accredited distance learning institution.
Each inductee receives a personalized Certificate of Membership and the Gold Key of Distinction bearing the Greek letters, ΔΕΤ and the society's Torch of Knowledge, which represent the shining light of continuous and lifelong learning.
Delta Epsilon Tau—Integrity & Excellence
Delta - D
The 4th letter of the Greek alphabet symbolized by a triangle. This International Honor Society unites 3 groups: students, institutions and the Distance Education and Training Council.
Epsilon - E
The 5th letter of the Greek alphabet signifies education and distinction. The "E" in Epsilon begins the Latin word "educatum" which means to lead forth, to encourage aesthetic, mental, physical and moral development through instruction for business and duties of life.
Tau - T
The 19th letter of the Greek alphabet meaning to instill good character. Tau brings recognition and praise for those who have worked with perseverance and success in their field of study.
