Ashworth College Online Faculty
Milton Miller, Ed.D., Chairman of the Academic Advisory Board for Ashworth/JMHS
Dr. Miller earned his Ed.D. in vocational/technical education and M.S. in administration and supervision, both from the University of Missouri.
He was a tenured college professor for many years and has been involved with the development of college curricula since 1965. Dr. Miller presided over the academics, curricula, and operations of Ashworth College since its inception.
Lisa Rutsky, M.Ed., Vice President of Education
Lisa earned both her bachelor's degree in psychology and master of education degree in school psychology from Georgia State University.
With more than ten years of experience in educational instruction and administration at the high school, associate and bachelor's levels, Lisa provides the vision, leadership and strategic planning for Ashworth College. She is also responsible for implementing programs that improve student success. Lisa is dedicated to providing Ashworth College students with optimal instruction so they can achieve their academic goals.
Kimberley Winfield, Director of Degree Programs
Kimberley earned her master’s degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. She also has bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education and elementary education.
In the past, Kimberley served as an Ashworth College curriculum developer. Her extensive teaching experience both in traditional classrooms and online, and her proven expertise in instructional methods, makes her well-suited to teach and oversee early childhood education courses in our associate and bachelor’s degree programs.
John Riser, M.S., Senior Director of Education Operations
John has a master's degree in production and operations from Georgia State University and earned his bachelor of science in management from Clemson University. John was awarded the Carl A. Bramlette, Jr. Scholastic Achievement Award for outstanding Academic Achievement in 2006. He manages the internal operations of the Education Department.
Eric Ryall, Registrar
Eric earned a bachelor's degree from West Georgia University in 2004 and has been with Ashworth College since then. He looks forward to continuing to help students enroll in the programs of study they need to further their career goals.
Deepa Chadha, Director of Product Development
Deepa has a master's degree in management from North Carolina State University. She manages the administration and development of all undergraduate certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree and master's degree programs.
Mandy Norton, Product Development Manager
Mandy has an associate degree in business management from Gainesville State College. She oversees the curriculum development process and manages print and online course content for degree programs.
Melissa Maddox, Business Services Manager
Melissa is responsible for managing corporate partnerships. Melissa works with corporations such as Clorox, Verizon and Boeing to meet the career training and servicing needs of their employees. Melissa also serves as a liaison for our military students to assist with processing active duty tuition assistance, VA/GI Bill benefits, military spouse benefits and transfer credits.
Kelsha Abraham, MBA, Degree Administrator
Kelsha earned her master's degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University in 2009 and her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Clemson University in 2000. She has been a private tutor and also co-founded a nonprofit company focused on improving math results for Georgia students. She later achieved an advanced leadership position with AT&T. Kelsha is currently pursuing her doctorate in psychology. She supervises Ashworth College academic and grading services, online instructors and online contracting for our career and degree programs.
Mark Swails, Learning Resource Center Director
Mark J. Swails has a masters in information science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Digital Curation Fellow. He also holds a masters and bachelors in American History from Emory University. Mark has been working in the field of academic libraries for over 10 years. He is responsible for the management of the Learning Resource Center.
Scott Phillips, M.A., Director of Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance
Scott earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and Master of Arts degree in interpersonal and public communication from Central Michigan University. For over 10 years he has been involved with post-secondary education as a faculty member, academic and financial administrator, and regulatory compliance consultant and director. His focus is to assess, develop, and implement regulatory and compliance goals for Ashworth College.
