How to begin using your Military Education Benefits
Before starting the process, contact an Ashworth Military Advisor to help with the application process, discuss your educational goals, and develop a career plan to meet those goals. Give us a call at: 1-877-758-7630.
Follow these steps and you'll be studying in no time:
- Visit https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa.
- Check your eligibility with real time automatic DEERS verification.
- Read the MyCAA fact sheet and sign the statement of understanding (SOU).
- Create your profile.
- Create your career plan on the MyCAA portal by selecting Ashworth and loading your class and cost information.
- Once your career plan has been approved you can apply for MyCAA funding.
- Notify your Ashworth Military Advisor that you have been approved so that your paperwork can be processed promptly.
Tips for Success:
Before you begin, you might want to have the following information handy:
- The correct classes and tuition costs for your program. Any incorrect information (i.e., incorrect course numbers) will delay the process.
- Taking college classes for the first time? Start with an Associate Degree. All Ashworth Associate Degrees will receive full credit towards our Bachelor programs.
- Apply for funding that will cover your entire program start to finish. That way you will not have to go back and reapply for more funding later.
- Recommended completion time for an Associate Degree is 6 months per semester. A Career Diploma is 3 months.
