Author, model, TV personality, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and activist all describe Ashworth alumna Didiayer Snyder. And on August 15, 2009 she can add Ashworth College commencement speaker and Ashworth Alumnus of the Year to this already impressive list.

Didiayer enrolled in Ashworth's Carpentry and Interior Design programs to take her role as team designer on the Emmy Award-winning Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to the next level.

"Ashworth is a lifetime relationship. It's about networking and interacting with instructors and other students. It's about investing in and involving your self with the school. I know that my past experience and personality has helped me in interviews. But it's my education that has gotten me the job."

Didiayer lives an active life both on and off camera. During breaks from filming, not only does she support philanthropic organizations like Habitat for Humanity, she is also a popular motivational speaker who continually champions the importance of distance education to various youth groups.

Originally from Australia, Didiayer the entrepreneur has developed a line of greeting cards (Gumption Greetings) and is developing a line of non-toxic home cleaning products (Greater Earth Products). Didiayer the model has appeared in numerous fashion shows for high profile designers to include Badgley Mischka, Randolph Duke and Roberto Cavelli. Didiayer the activist has been a force of change by donating her time and talents to Habitat for Humanity. Didiayer the author has written a book entitled On Your Mark, educating aspiring models how to break into the this industry while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

With all this, some might say she's an over-achiever. But we think of her as the embodiment of the Ashworth independent spirit.
