Lesson Group 2: Retail Merchandising  

This course will focus on how retail merchandising relies upon various components of retailing formats and locations. You will explore opportunities for retail growth and expansion through consumer studies and communication. Then, this course will emphasize the importance of merchandising and branding.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Stress the significance of retail formats and location with merchandising strategies.
  • Study consumer segments and trends with planning retail growth and expansion.
  • Examine how fashion connects with merchandising and branding.

Lesson Group 3: Accounting, Inventory, Pricing, and Presentation  

This course will explore procedures for the effective management of resources and productivity. You will develop a knowledge base for financial elements of managements with accounting, inventory valuation, and retail pricing. With this, the course will provide guidance with planning sales, securing purchase terms, managing inventory, presenting merchandise, and implementing control standards.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Explore resources for purchasing merchandise and overseeing productivity.
  • Create inventory systems to account for and properly value merchandise.
  • Understand retail pricing and its impact with sales, inventory levels, and purchase terms.
  • Establish control standards to manage inventory.

The Retail Management Career Diploma is designed to provide students with the knowledge and strategies for effective retail management with an understanding of how environment, format, branding, merchandising, and pricing all tie into management structures designed to promote productivity and support business systems to cause growth and expansion in various markets.
