Ashworth College (www.ashworthcollege.edu), a leading provider of accredited, online educational programs, announced that it has appointed Dr. Bill Kakish as its new Chief Academic Officer. Among Dr. Kakish’s responsibilities in this role are setting the academic vision for the College and overseeing the quality of all the College’s academic operations.
Dr. Kakish has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, a Master's degree in Management Information Systems and Quantitative Methods from Northwestern University and a law degree from The John Marshall School of Law in Chicago. He began his academic career at Chicago’s Roosevelt University, where he worked as an Instructor of English and English as a Second Language (ESL). He went on to serve as President for the Chicago College of Commerce and later Mt. Sierra College in Monrovia, California.
In addition, Dr. Kakish possesses experience working with residential and online programs at both the certificate and degree levels, including institutions accredited by five national and three regional accrediting agencies. He has served as an evaluator and chair on more than 60 accreditation visits, both nationally and internationally.
