Ashworth College Programs Overview

Ashworth offers a wide range of online college degrees, certificates and diplomas designed to help you get to the next level in your career. All of our online programs are available on an open enrollment basis. You don't have to wait for a new session or semester to begin. Begin anytime and progress through your studies independently, at your own pace.

High School Diploma

James Madison High School provides a regionally and nationally accredited program that awards a full high school diploma upon completion. The College Prep High School Diploma program is for the student who is ready for an academically challenging curriculum at an advanced level of study, in preparation for the rigors of college. The General High School Diploma program is for students who seek a fundamental high school education so they can meet basic workplace and career qualifications. The curricula for all programs meet Common Core standards. Not to be confused with a simple G.E.D., our program, which encompasses 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades, awards a recognized High School Diploma that any graduate will be proud to earn.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 14 years of age

Career Diploma

Ashworth Career Diplomas are designed to give students the training needed to change or start a new career, or improve skills in their current occupation. Each program will provide everything needed and does not require any prior experience or pre-requisites. Upon completion of our career program, students will be awarded a diploma from our Nationally Accredited School. While the Career program is not designed with transference of credits in mind, some programs will transfer into our Associate programs like Accounting, Early Childhood Education, Paralegal, Marketing, Healthcare Management and Computer Information Management.

Undergraduate Certificate

Ashworth Undergraduate Certificates provide specialized knowledge within a particular discipline at the undergraduate level. Consists of one (1) semester's worth of course work within a specialized area of study (5 courses - 15 credit hours). Each certificate consists of one or more required courses along with a list of electives to provide students with a customized & focused program of study that meets their specific needs. All credits earned in an undergraduate certificate program will transfer to the corresponding associate degree program.

Prerequisite: High School Diploma or GED

Associate Degree (Associate of Science)

Ashworth Associate Degrees provide students with a thorough understanding of concepts and applications in a specific concentration area. The associate programs have a strong focus on the area of specialization alongside basic general education courses. This is a 4-semester program consisting of 60 credit hours (20 courses) of college level study. In addition to providing students with in-depth expertise in a specific discipline, the associate degree is equivalent to half the credit requirements of a bachelor's degree program at Ashworth.

Prerequisite: High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor of Science)

Ashworth Bachelor's Degrees provide students with a strong foundation of general education courses (language, arts & sciences) followed by core and elective courses in the chosen concentration area. The program covers basic, intermediate and advanced courses within an area of specialization. This is an 8-semester program consisting of 120 credit hours (40 courses) of college level study.

Prerequisite: High School Diploma or GED

Graduate Certificate

Ashworth Graduate Certificates provide specialized knowledge within a particular discipline at the graduate level. Consists of one (1) semester's worth of course work within a specialized area of study (4 courses - 12 credit hours). Each certificate consists of a non-credit orientation course followed by 4 elective courses to provide students with a customized & focused program of study that meets their specific needs. All credits earned in a graduate certificate program will transfer to the corresponding master's degree program.

Prerequisite: Accredited Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree (Master of Business Administration)

Ashworth Master's Degrees cover advanced concepts, research and applications in the functional areas of business in addition to providing specialized knowledge within a specific area of concentration. Ashworth offers a general MBA as well as concentrations in Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Marketing. This is a 3-semester program consisting of 36 credit hours (12 courses) of graduate level study.

Prerequisite: Accredited Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree (Master of Science)

Ashworth Master of Science Degrees cover advanced concepts, research and applications in a specific concentration area. Designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of a specific discipline and the expertise to apply this knowledge in a managerial role. This is a 3-semester program consisting of 36 credit hours (12 courses) of graduate level study.

Prerequisite: Accredited Bachelor's Degree
