Graduation Requirements - Academic Policies For Degree Programs & Courses

Graduation Requirements

Graduation from any Ashworth College course of study requires that all lessons are complete, all academic requirements are met and tuition is paid in full. An extension of the usual time necessary for completion may be requested; however, additional fees may apply.

Master’s Degree

To earn your master’s degree, you must successfully complete your program Orientation, followed by twelve graduate credit courses (three credit-hours each) for a total of 36 credit hours. Our graduate degree programs are designed to be completed in about two years, at a rate of one assignment per week. You may not be granted a degree in less than twelve months, regardless of transfer credits or course work completion time. We allow you up to five years from the date of your enrollment to complete your studies and earn your master’s degree.

Bachelor's Degree

You must complete 120 semester hours (40 courses of 3 credit hours each) with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and earn at least a C in each program-specific course. You are allowed up to 12 months to complete each semester, and you may finish in as little as six months. We accept up to 90 credit hours of transfer credit towards the bachelor's degree program.

Associate Degree

You must complete 60 semester hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and earn at least a C in each program-specific course. You are allowed up to 12 months to complete each semester, and you may finish in as little as six months.

Career

You must successfully complete all lessons for the course. Career courses are designed to be completed in 12 months or less. Most students graduate within six to 12 months.

High School

It is necessary to complete the equivalent of at least one year of study and be enrolled in a diploma program in our 9th–12th grade curriculum to earn the Ashworth College High School diploma. The program is designed to be completed in six to 12 months for each academic year of high school required for graduation.

To earn the Ashworth College High School College Preparatory Diploma, 22 credits must be earned. Online students must complete at least six courses (5.5 credits) in order to graduate. Correspondence students must complete at least five AUHS courses (5 credits) in order to graduate.

To earn the Ashworth College High School General Diploma, 16 credits must be earned. Online and Correspondence students must complete at least four AUHS courses (4 credits) in order to graduate.

We will gladly send transcripts to prospective employers and other educational institutions by request.
