Jamye is the force behind the Ashworth Chronicle, Ashworth's student newspaper. Currently the Chronicle's first editor-in-chief, she was also a driving force in getting the online publication off the ground. "We want all of our fellow students to succeed at Ashworth and a student newspaper is one way students can help other students. We publish things like study tips, how to locate a study partner, etc. Things from a student's perspective. We believe this will be of particular interest to those who are new to distance education."

Regarding the selection of the newspapers name -- "We're proud of our school and wanted to be sure that the name we selected would withstand the test of time and represent a wide and diverse student body."
