"I was working in a field that was going nowhere. I knew that I had nowhere to grow in that field, so I began courses for Medical and Dental Assisting. I can't even tell you how much my life has changed. I got my job in a podiatrist's office before I was even done with the course. I learned so much by taking the classes and working at the same time. "I did not do well as a high school student and did not seek college. One day my daughter asked me why my husband and I had not gone to college, I did not have an answer, because I was ashamed. I knew I had to go in order to be an example to her and my son. I had a lot of hang-ups about going to school. Non-traditional students have a number of obstacles to overcome. To make a long story short, Ashworth gave me the confidence to pursue a degree. Your program was not only informative, challenging, and real life, it was encouraging. I am in my last 5 classes at Ashford University (your excellent program allows for credits to be transferred) thanks to Ashworth. In addition, I made the National Dean's list. I have been able to apply what I have learned at Ashworth to my current line of work, as well as applying the study techniques I obtained from Ashworth toward my BA in psychology. None of this would have been possible for me without Ashworth, the "go-at-your -own pace is a wonderful tool. There was no stress and I could take my time to actually learn. It was a wonderful experience and the confidence you all gave me is something Visa can not buy….it is priceless."
