Ashworth College supports Children's Miracle Network walk
NORCROSS, Georgia – June 1, 2010 – “Ashworthy Causes”, Ashworth College’s (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu) on-going community outreach program, has kicked off its latest fundraising initiative, “A Walk in the Park” to support Cure Kids Cancer and Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
From now until the June 13 event, the Georgia-based online college administration and staff will enlist sponsors with total proceeds contributing to the school’s overall monetary team goal. The walk will take place at Six Flags Over Georgia.
“We’re looking forward to participating in this year’s walk,” said Jeannie Brady, Ashworth Director of Human Resources. “The impact of cancer in children has particular relevance to one of our staff members and the Ashworth team will be dedicating their efforts to the memory of his daughter.”
Brady also mentioned that these service events are always a great opportunity to spend time with co-workers, meet new people, and give back to the community at the same time.
Known as a leading provider of nationally accredited online education programs, Ashworth College prides itself in its community outreach endeavors and regularly supports several organizations to include Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army and March of Dimes.
