Ashworth College offers support to Atlanta Community Food Bank
NORCROSS, Georgia — October 27, 2008 — Ashworth College continues its community service endeavors through its support the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
During the weeks of October 26 and November 2, Ashworth administration and staff will donate non-perishable food items which ACFB will in turn distribute to its more than 800 non-profit partner agencies. These agencies offer support to low-income families throughout Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
"As an educational institution, we appreciate the need for families to have all tools necessary to succeed --and sometimes that includes food and grocery items," said Melissa Maddox, Business Services Manager. "The Ashworth staff is extremely excited to help."
Throughout the year, Ashworth makes a concentrated effort to support worthwhile causes to include Kids In Need, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and March of Dimes.
